Embera should be dead when Koe finds her unconscious and wounded in the wildlands of Eldair. Who she is and how she got there remains a mystery even after she finally awakens from a strange enchanted sleep. Koe can only guess what the quiet, scared, and damaged Embera has been through until he is suddenly pulled into a vision that takes him on an adventure across time and worlds.
Turns out Embera isn't from Eldair at all. Nearly a year ago she was about to graduate high school when she and her two friends, Iva and Indri, were stolen from their world by a fairy. On their journey to find a way back home, they face many dangers, including unknown magic, an oncoming war between races, and the threat of flesh-eating demons. Koe must now witness these events for himself so when the time comes, he can stop a future of death and save his world--and the girl he has come to love.
Jemma M. Young
Hi, my name is Jemma Young - the creator and artist for "Children of Eldair." I grew up on a small farm in Utah and have been drawing comics since I was about eight. I loved drawing comics so much that when I was in junior high, my friends and I created an all-girls comic team and posted our work online for anyone to see. Even after we went our own ways, I continued to draw and create stories for fun. During my second year in college, I was apart of TokyoPop's Pilot Program - which sought out new talented comic writers and artists and published them online. I did the penciling, inking, toning, and lettering for the first chapter of "Mom's Best Friend."
In 2011, I decided to do the first sixteen pages of "Children of Eldair" for my senior project. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to turn it into a webcomic. Since graduating college I've done freelance illustration and colored comics professionally.
Currently, I'm twenty six and married with two children.
My husband and webmaster of "Children of Eldair." Jacob does all the coding and makes sure the site run smoothly and all that great stuff. He's also in charge of making sure I don't lose my marbles and tells me I'm awesome all the time so I don't just throw my hands up in the air and give up on life.
These are my two kids. They're the reason I don't update more often. But they're adorable so we have to forgive them.
Rachel's helped out on the scripts and lettering for Eldair. She scripted chapters 3 - 12 and helped out with other chapters as well! She wrote Sorcerer Courtship and lettered chapters 1 - 10.
A super awesome writing group friend who has helped out a lot with Eldair's development. She also goes through and edits the scripts for me.
Another writing group friend who has helped with giving feedback on the story!
